Maintenance Work At The Station

Electrical contractors are investigating the cause of the recent power outages at the station which have become more regular in recent weeks.  Additional emergency lighting has been drafted in the provide cover in the meantime.

Network Rail is being chased to fix the increasing number of potholes that have appeared on the approach road following the recent cold snaps.

Work to upgrade the lighting on the approach road is to commence next week.  All the light heads are to be replaced and the older ones in the car park that were not replaced 14 months ago will also be replaced.  There will be some trench works from the bus stop taking a diagonal route from the bottom deck of the car park to the staircase and also on the slope of the main car park.  Paths and walkways will be maintained for pedestrians and road access will be maintained all times with any trenches refilled or plated prior to the start of the evening peak period to prevent any bottlenecks with people being picked up or leaving the car park.
