Police had cordoned off the the entrance to the station this morning following reports of the attempted theft of the cashpoint.

Maintenance Work Over The Weekend

A reminder that buses replace trains between Romford and Liverpool Street over all three days of the holiday weekend, and as such journey times will be significantly longer.

MRUA AGM Elections

At the MRUA AGM held on Monday 26th April 2010 the following officers were elected:

Vice Chairman: Derek Monnery

NXEA Performance Down Slightly

In figures released today by Network Rail 91.5% of National Express East Anglia services arrived at their final destination on time in the period 7th March to 31st March 2010. This is down from 92% for the same period last year. The national average was 93.5% (92.7% last year)

The definition of 'on time' is within 5 minutes for inner and outer suburban services and within 10 minutes for Inter City services.

Armed Man Arrested Near Station

It is being reported that a Frinton man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm 'with intent to cause fear of violence' in Station Road at 6:15pm yesterday. Armed police were called to search the area after a man was spotted with a shotgun. The police helicopter was also involved.
